The North Carolina FreeEnterprise Foundation provides innovative educational programs, non-partisan political research, and objective analysis to foster informed civic involvement, develop an understanding of the free enterprise economy, and strengthen North Carolina’s prosperous business environment.
JWP Civitas Institute
The vision of the Civitas Institute is of a North Carolina whose citizens enjoy liberty and prosperity derived from limited government, personal responsibility and civic engagement. The mission of the Civitas Institute is to facilitate the implementation of conservative policy solutions to improve the lives of all North Carolinians. Towards that end, Civitas provides research, information and training to empower citizens to become better civic leaders and more informed voters; educate emerging public leaders, enabling them to be more effective in the democratic process; and inform elected officials about citizen-based, free-market solutions to problems facing North Carolinians.
John Locke Foundation
The John Locke Foundation envisions a North Carolina of responsible citizens, strong families, and successful communities committed to individual liberty and limited, constitutional government. JLF employs research, journalism, and outreach programs to transform government through competition, innovation, personal freedom, and personal responsibility. JLF seeks a better balance between the public sector and private institutions of family, faith, community, and enterprise.
Americans for Prosperity NC
Americans for Prosperity-North Carolina is part of the nation’s premier grassroots organization committed to advancing every individual’s right to economic freedom and opportunity. AFP-NC believes reducing the size and scope of government is the best safeguard to ensuring individual productivity and prosperity. AFP-NC educates and engages citizen leaders in support of restraining local, state and federal government growth, and returning government to its constitutional limit. AFP-NC also actively supports legislation that expands economic freedom. AFP-NC has grassroots members in all 100 counties. The group holds organizational meetings throughout the state.
